Re-Connect/Centre/Converge: The Arts Festival

I worked closely with the festival director, John Tung, and oversaw the setup of artworks leading up to the festival's grand opening. In preparing for the festival, I also assisted in the measurement of the festival location, creating an updated floorplan for the director's use. I also assisted with artist liaison, and organising meetings when necessary. In addition to my role as a curatorial assistant, I worked with the Substation manager to aid in recruiting volunteers for the festival; some copywriting work was also done, particularly for the programme booklet and press release.

One of the highlights of my involvement was assisting artist Dennis Tan with the installation of his work 'tarps as planes and rope lines to bind' (2023). This encompassed not only hands-on installation support but also the procurement of necessary materials and additional labor to realise his vision.
