Hey, I'm Carla

I'm a writer, aspiring curator & researcher, and project manager based in singapore. when i'm not working on a project, you can find me at home staging photoshoots of my cats

Carla is a multi-faceted creative professional whose journey began in filmmaking before her passion for cultural policy led her to pursue a degree in Arts Management. With an impressive portfolio and multiple awards for her works, she was a recipient of the Ireland Funds Scholarship. Beyond school, Carla was ARTWALK 2023's festival producer and curator, writes for Plural Art Magazine, and actively advocates for neurodivergent inclusivity and awareness under the mental health charity Resilience Collective.

Past work & history

My previous work was mainly in filmmaking, marketing and writing. However, currently, I'm working towards pursuing higher academia, with a focus on cultural policy and digital technology & the arts.

3rd Place, ASEAN-ROK Youth Metaverse Idea Competition
November 2023

Placed third amongst 48 teams and 21 individuals (tied with team KYAT and Creative Potatoes) in the competition which focused on Cultural Heritage in 2023. Competed at the finals in Busan 5 - 11 Nov 2023

Industry Preparations for Pre-graduate (iPREP) Grant
October 2023

Awarded by the Infocomm and Media Development Authority (IMDA), Singapore. The grant was used to attend workshops and conferences at Gitex 2023 in Dubai, to further develop my expertise in digital spaces, technology and the arts.
